Local Events and Venues.

Below are some of the events and venues local to Well I Hole Farm.  Some are within walking distance and some make use of our good local transport networks.

Saddleworth Whit

The Saddleworth Whit Friday Band Contest is a unique and vibrant brass band competition held annually on Whit Friday across villages in the Saddleworth and Tameside area of England. It's not just a competition, but a tradition and cultural celebration deeply ingrained in the local community.

Saddleworth Rushcart

The Saddleworth Morrismen Rushcart event is a vibrant, traditional festival held annually in the villages of Saddleworth, England. It typically takes place over the late August Bank Holiday weekend and attracts participants and spectators from all over the country.

The heart of the event:

A towering cart, stacked high with fresh rushes, is paraded through the villages.

Morris dancers in colorful costumes perform traditional dances throughout the weekend.

Diggle Blues Festival

We offer a weekend soaked in Blues music….. with food, soft drinks, beers and wine available at all our venues. We have realised (and are flattered) that many Blues artists are now contacting us, wanting to be part of our annual festival and we recognise that this is all due to our audience who really show their appreciation.

The Vale, Mossley.

Based in Mossley, in the foothills of the Peak District, The Vale is a former textile mill converted to a state-of-the-art venue for all kinds of artistic, creative and Carnival happenings.

If it’s live performance you’re after, The Vale hosts a variety of music, theatre, dance, and cinema throughout the year.

Off The Rails Comedy Club

Held at The Royal George, Greenfield on the last Sunday of every month with additional touring and fundraising shows throughout the year. The George is a large country pub set in the stunning Saddleworth countryside.

The Picturedrome & Box Office

With its' relatively small size, The Picturedrome is the ideal place to enjoy live musical entertainment due to the close proximity to the artists. With a venue capacity of around 650, you can see why music-lovers flock here.

The Picturedrome is full of history, and it shows. It has a built in stage, a sizeable dance floor and a state-of-the-art sound system. The stage is well lit with spot lights creating a perfect atmosphere.
